We won Best Exhibit in the Floral Marquee!
Our first ever Best Exhibit, and a Gold Medal to match, at the 2026 RHS Badminton Flower Show.
At the 2026 RHS Badminton Flower Show, our succulent display was named Best Exhibit in the Floral Marquee. It is the first time we have ever won the award, and we are over the moon about it. The judges also gave the display a Gold Medal, which made the week even sweeter.
RHS medals are awarded to every exhibit that reaches the judges' standard, so several nurseries can take home a Gold from the same show. There is only one Best Exhibit, chosen from every display in the whole Marquee, and this year the judges chose ours. It will sit proudly alongside our RHS Chelsea Gold Medals and our RHS Plant of the Year 2022 win for x Semponium 'Destiny'.
The winning display
The stand was built around tiers of charred timber planters, every one of them filled with plants grown at the nursery. Towering heads of Aeonium 'Pomegranate' rose above bowls of 'Blushing Beauty', 'Dynamite' and 'Pink Witch', with carpets of Echeveria 'Perle von Nürnberg', Sedum 'Sandra Mottram' and Graptoveria 'Milky Way' running between the spikes of Agave, Yucca filifera and Dasylirion longissimum.
A display like this takes years to put together. We raised some of these plants from seed for over six years before they were ready for the show bench. Then the whole garden travelled up from Penzance with us, every last pot of it.
An RHS debut for Aeonium 'Limelight'
Aeonium 'Limelight' also made its first ever appearance in an RHS display on the stand. 'Limelight' is a brand new Surreal hybrid, bred here at the nursery by Daniel Michael and selected for its compact growth and bright lime rosettes.
Seeing a plant go from a seed tray in Cornwall to a Best Exhibit stand is why we do this, and we think 'Limelight' more than earned its place.
