x Cremneria 'Scaphylla' quick care tips

Watering

x Cremneria 'Scaphylla' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

x Cremneria 'Scaphylla' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

x Cremneria 'Scaphylla' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

x Cremneria 'Scaphylla'

A beautiful Cremnophila x Echeveria cultivar.

The x Cremneria 'Scaphylla' has lovely soft, glossy, chunky green leaves with a red tip to each leaf. The red tips intensify in stressing conditions, such as cold temperatures, low nutrient soil or drought. 

The plant grows very well and can out grow the pot in less than a year.

Would look lovely on a windowsill in winter or a rockery in the summer.
