グラプトペタルム・パラグアエンセとセダム・アドルフイの属間交配種で、おそらく栽培下で開発されたと考えられています（しばしば育種家ボブ・グリムに帰属するとされています）。グラプトペタルムの耐久性と構造に、セダムの鮮やかな色彩が組み合わされています。
