フォカリア・ツベルクローザ（Faucaria tuberculosa）、通称「ペブルドタイガージョーズ」は、先史時代の植物のような姿をした多肉植物です。牙のような新しい葉を出す姿は荒々しく見えますが、実際には触るととても柔らかいです。
このコンパクトな株立ち状の多肉植物は、およそ30種以上あり、ご覧のように、涼しい時期には鮮やかな黄色の美しい花を咲かせます。花が枯れると、興味深い大きな種子鞘ができ、乾燥させて数日間雨水に浸しておくと、種子を採取して蒔くことができます。
個性の光る植物が好きな子供たちには、とても楽しくて最適です。
冬に水やりをするとよく反応するので、土が乾いたら水を与えてください。
