スパイラルアロエは、植物の中心かららせん状に伸びる独特の葉の形成により、驚くべきものです。
原産地は南アフリカのレソトにあるマルーティ山脈です。これらのアロエは、氷点下（成熟すると-15℃）にも耐えることができ、自然の生息地では雪に覆われていることもよくあります。直径15インチ以上になるまでは霜から保護してください。
岩壁やプランターに斜めに植えることで、素晴らしい庭の飾りになります。これにより、余分な水が株元から流れ落ち、株元に水が溜まることで腐敗を招くのを防ぎます。
生育期（4月から9月）には、月に2回程度、液肥を与えて定期的に施肥することを好みます。
非常に成長の速いアロエで、イギリスの丈夫な多肉植物として最適です。
