How often should I water アエオニウム 'オズ'? 💦 +
The アエオニウム 'オズ' would like to be soaked and left to partially dry, usually between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant, usually during a heatwave, and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty. If grown indoors over winter, water the plant lightly and directly to the roots when the plant is thirsty.
What soil is best for アエオニウム 'オズ'? 🪴 +
アエオニウム 'オズ' needs free-draining soil to thrive. Use a specialist cactus and succulent mix, or blend compost with horticultural grit, sand, or perlite. This keeps the roots aerated and prevents excess moisture, which can cause root rot. Adding a gritty top-dressing not only looks attractive but also keeps foliage dry, reduces fungus gnats, and helps regulate moisture. Healthy soil is the foundation of successful succulent care.
