Ses longues feuilles ultra-fines rayonnent dans toutes les directions depuis une base centrale, créant une forme sphérique ou en fontaine parfaite, comme des fibres optiques. Avec le temps, il développe un tronc ligneux épais et peut devenir un point focal spectaculaire dans tout jardin sec ou de style méditerranéen.
Cette espèce prospère dans des conditions arides et des sols bien drainés, ce qui la rend idéale pour l'aménagement paysager xérophile ou la plantation en pot dans des emplacements ensoleillés et abrités.
