L'Aeonium diplocycla var. gigantea est rarement cultivé car il n'a été découvert à La Gomera (Canaries) qu'en 2001 par B. Malkmus. Comme on peut le voir sur la photo, il a une forme de croissance très compacte et acaule qui peut atteindre une très grande taille. Les rosettes centrales ont tendance à se refermer lorsque le temps se réchauffe.
