メキシコ北東部原産のダシリリオン・ロンギシマムは、印象的で成長の遅い多肉植物の低木で、その大胆で構築的な形態が高く評価されています。長く極細の葉が中央の基部から全方向に放射状に広がり、光ファイバーのように完璧な球形または噴水のような形を形成します。時間が経つにつれて、太い木質の幹が発達し、乾燥した庭や地中海スタイルの庭の劇的な焦点となるでしょう。
この種は乾燥した条件と水はけの良い土壌で生育するため、乾燥地での造園や、日当たりの良い保護された場所でのコンテナ植えに適しています。
