Description
Sempervivum ‘Grey Velvet’ is a hybrid Sempervivum that was created by Ed Skrocki (USA).
A hybrid, like its name, that has a soft velvet appearance. During the winter, this plant can be green but soon turn almost orange and grey in stronger light levels. Puts on a great display through the spring and summer, the central rosette is tight and compact. Offsets using stolons/runners that will root to create multiple new plants. This can help with carpeting a Sempervivum bay. Flowers in late summer/autumn.
Plant with other Sempervivums to contrast textures and colours. Looks great alongside the brighter varieties. The perfect outdoor succulent. Extremely resilient.
