Native to South Africa Gasteria vlokii grows in a low growing form, as the leaves elongate, they tend to fold downwards towards the ground. In early spring they produce a tall pink flower spike boasting a delight of multiple pink green flowers. The leaves of the Gasteria vlokii have hundreds of tiny white specs dotted all over, the texture is rough but pleasant to touch.
We grow ours in quite high light levels giving the plant this orange hue, but they can be grown in lower light such as an east or west-facing windowsill. If grown in lower light the leaves grow larger and greener but hold onto the white dots.
