Gasteria nitida var. nitida

£8.50

A species native to South Africa.

Gasteria nitida var. nitida is a dark, spotty and shiny succulent. The name nitida is a direct translation of ‘shiny’ in Latin. Relatively slow growing, but will happily grow faster if fertilised and given some love in the form of fresh soil and plant food in the growing period (April-September). Will stay low growing and compact and eventually forms a rosette once mature. Flowers in June – July with an array of pink windsock-like flowers on a stem up to 80cm tall. A perfect beginner’s plant for a windowsill or greenhouse.
