This unusual Crassula species is native to South Africa. The name originates from Latin meaning ‘pleat-like’ when translated to English.

It grows to layers of leaves almost always upright, it tends to grow relatively slowly and it may produce new shoots from the base. In late summer it produces small flowers which grow on long thin stems. These are attractive to small pollinators. Will do best indoors on a bright windowsill planted in its own pot or with other succulents.
