Astridia velutina ‘Variegata’

Astridia velutina ‘Variegata’ is highly prized rare little succulent, particularly because of the variegation in the leaves. They grow and cluster nicely in a pot and tend to grow mainly in an upright position, over time the foliage will cascade over the sides of the pot giving it a very attractive appearance. Astridia velutina is native to Zambia where the summer rainfall levels are extremely low, this plant requires full sun and extra water during the growing season, which is autumn through to spring, keep frost free. Once mature they produce beautiful white flowers between the top two leaves at the end of each stem, these flowers arrive during the growing season, to encourage more flowers water with diluted seaweed solution, every four to six weeks.
