Anacampseros telephiastrum variegata

£7.60

Anacampseros telephiastrum variegata is an interesting succulent that has amazingly beautiful little pink flowers in early summer which open on sunny days. The leaves are obovate in shape giving these plants a very distinct appearance.

As new growth appears it tends to be yellowy green in colour turning to a pink blush as the light levels intensify, the flowers appear from the centre of each rosette enticing it to offset from the base, the stems on the plant have fine white hairs as you can see in the pictures.

The species are native to South Africa and can be found growing in rock crevices, as they mature they produce a caudex (a natural reservoir) to store water which helps them survive extreme drought conditions.

They make stunning houseplants with its array of chameleon-like colouring and unique form.
