Agave ‘Shaka Zulu’ (Blue Glow) is a hybrid Agave that is has amazing colours in strong light levels.
Agave ‘Shaka Zulu’ is a medium sized slow growing Agave that is capable of reaching 90cm across by 60cm high. It is a hybrid agave originating from southern California with the parent plants being Agave attenuate and Agave ocahui. It has a powdery blue foliage with a contrasting red/yellow outline to each leaf.
Its common name is Agave ‘Blue Glow’ as the foliage can take on a shimmer of blue when the sunlight is shining through the plant. This Agave can tolerate lower light levels than other Agave but needs to be in strong light levels to get the bright colours.
It is capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -4C but it will not cope well with it being wet at those cold temperatures. Its best to over winter this plant in the dry side like most Agave.
This plant is grown in a 1 Litre pot.
