Agave parrasana, also known as the Cabbage Head Agave, is a cracking species native to East Mexico.
It grows a compact growing form with a maximum height of 60cm and width of 50cm-60cm.
This Agave is one of the hardiest species and if kept as dry as possible during the winter months can survive temperatures to at least -12.
One of the most attractive features of this Agave are the fingerprints left behind by the newly developing leaves.
The plant you will receive is a 6-year-old seed grown very healthy specimen, measuring roughly 12cm-14cm across and 10cm-12cm high.
Agaves make fantastic pot plants that like to be fed during the growing season, they require plenty of drainage if kept outside all winter.
Plant at a slight angle so that water can drain from the crown and always top-dress with good quality gravel or grit to ensure excellent drainage.
Would fit perfectly in a rockery and add an amazing texture to any garden.
