Aeonium ‘Saint Simon Violet’ is a very colourful variegated Aeonium that will naturally offset and branch with stable variegation, these offsets form on slender stems similar to Aeonium arboreum ‘Atropurpureum’ giving this plant its unique appearance. This rare Aeonium ‘Saint Simon Violet’ has stunning colours of red, green and yellow in the spring as light levels start in increase, this really gives the rosettes have striking appearance.
The most impressive feature of this plant is the green centre to its leaves which will not fade in strong light levels. This plant makes a perfect stand-alone display plant and when mature can be absolute stunning.
The parentage of this plant is unknown with it rumoured to have origins from a Chinese succulent nursery.
Like all variegated Aeoniums its best grown in part shade in the intense summer temperature and light levels to keep the variegation stronger.
